Buy.My.DomeTake my dome? Please?

We have 164+ incredibly isolated acres, complete with a large geodesic dome off-grid powered by wind, solar and propane generator plus a stilted cabin on the mountain's peak. The property has fantastic views, running game, year-round & seasonal streams, a pond, is covered in 100% old-growth woods and is bordered on three sides by the Nantahala National Forest. The dome sits above the 5000' mark, and we own the south face of High Knob Mountain. The nearest neighbor is well over two miles away -- unless you're counting the large cat we've tracked across the higher reaches and the bear in the hollow below.

In short, it's a place of peace -- you'll never hear your neighbor's weed-eater again.

And it's for sale.

In an age where there are web sites dedicated to Paris Hilton's departed pets, we felt it was only appropriate we build one out for the property. And, like most of the things we do when we're screwing around, we probably threw too much technology into it. The site's got XML/Flash-driven galleries fer cryin' out loud.

Take a look -- and if you want the place, give us a yell.

UPDATE: Site is now live. You can view it here.
 [ motor controls ]
motor controlsBoy, have we got a project. And boy, do we need an engineer -- an electrical engineer, with experience in simple motor controls and RF, a mercenary spirit and a rather twisted sense of humor. And willing to sign an NDA.

Know anybody like that? We'll pay you a finder's fee, if we hire him. Are you like that? Even better -- and we'll pay you the finder's fee direct [and as a bonus you can have a special therapy moment, since you'll have found yourself.]

If you're interested or have someone in mind, contact us here.

 [ a really insulting experience ]
a really insulting experienceThis is just one of those things we've been noodling around with for years -- but late events on both a global and professional scale have kind of pushed it to the forefront in the addled mess we call brainpans, so we're re-spelunking [is that a word?] the idea.

So what do we need for this? Contacts for a small-lot manufacturer and a distributor.
