My name is T.E.D. Andrick; I'm the founder of AB&K, if you've missed all the ego-tossing on other pages. I'm an award-winning designer and developer who has spent the last twenty or so years either playing with computers, designing neat stuff for them or solving problems with them. Put another way, I've had an active email address for over two decades and I've worked with punch cards; my first computer was a Heathkit with 6 LED displays as output and I once got reprimanded for hacking a Commodore PET in the high school computer lab.
In terms of the web I've been skulking around since Year One when I helped craft one of the first Fortune 500 intranets & extranets for the Turner Entertainment Group, as a team member got my photo in WebWeek posing with a Nerf gun and then subsequently got busted by Scott Sassa playing networked Marathon on company time. Since then, it's gotten weird -- but overall been fun -- and not reduced my passion for the web one iota. I've worked for a variety of companies and clients, providing solutions to a diverse spectrum of problems and I'll be happy to do the same for you.
And now the boring bit; more ego-tossing. In terms of design, I work heavily in Photoshop, Illustrator, Flash & InDesign; there are few design packages I haven't driven and/or cursed roundly. My development competencies include HTML, CSS, Perl, PHP, JavaScript, ActionScript [Flash], XML & MySQL. I've also worked inside a variety of other programming languages including AutoLISP, FORTRAN, Pascal, C, Forth & BASIC, just to roll off some golden oldies. I code & standards-check in BBEdit and chart in OmniGraffle. I'm [lightly] published in my field and have a font or two in the wild; you've seen a small bit of my work on national television. My work has won an award or two including Top 5%, SciFi Site of the Week and SciFi Site of the Day. I once made Claudia Christain snort tea out of her nose.
Please look around, and feel free to tell us what you think. We hope to be hearing from you soon.
